It's one of my favorite breakfast spots in the area. I get the main street breakfast and an espresso martini never disappoints. Service is always good. I recommend calling ahead or making reservations, it's usually pretty busy on the weekends.

Nate the bartender was amazing! He is very knowledgeable about alcohol and so clearly has a passion for crafting drinks! They were incredible.

Main Street breakfast is the way to go, in my humble opinion. I have came here for all big life events. Libby is my favorite bartender, she is so wonderful and helpful. She does great with all customers and her bar knowledge. Abbie is my favorite server if I don't sit at the bar, but I have never had bad service ever here. All workers are hard workers and so helpful and kind. I love Joe the owner he is a local man who supports local schools and businesses which I love! The ambiance is so cozy, from the tables in the window to the cute tables near the books, or comfy chairs up front. I enjoy attending for bottomless mimosas. And sadly so far I've only had brunch but I am so excited to try their Italian cuisine that they serve for dinner!! This is a must try place when you are looking for a brunch, lunch or dinner!

The service here never disappoints. Sitting at the bar enjoying an amazing brunch with friends. (Bottomless mimosas for $28 for 2 hours). This is the second time I've had the creole gravy. It's honestly my favorite cause of the spice and heat factor. SO DELISH!! The sisters (yes I know they aren't sisters) who work at this restaurant are always great and so attentive to your needs. Libby is an amazing bartender while Abby is on the floor serving! This is a MUST VISIT restaurant when in the St. Charles area!!!

Absolutely loved my experience at Novellus Bar in St. Charles! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and stylish, creating the perfect vibe for a night out. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to offer fantastic drink recommendations. The cocktail menu is inventive, featuring a variety of unique flavors that cater to all tastes. I tried their drinks, and it did not disappoint! Nate is on point! Joey is awesome too!

This restaurant is on Main Street in St. Charles so street parking may be limited. I came here on a Saturday so I'd reccomend parking in the Public Parking garage on Monroe Street and Main. It's a short downhill walk and no cost to park in the garage. My friend was having a birthday gathering here so the table was set up nicely with plenty of room for us ladies to dine and not be in each other's way. Our waitress was super attentive and didn't assume we all wanted 1 check at the end. I started with a Spiked Basil Lemonade and ordered the Riverside Omelet and a side of bacon (3 strips). The Spiked Basil Lemonade had the perfect balance between booze and lemonade. The omelet was filling so I really didn't need the extra bacon. This was my first time here for brunch so I was preparing myself for the usual lack of meat in omelets of other local eateries. I stood corrected! The breakfast potatoes were perfectly cooked with the crispy outershell but soft on the inside. The biscuit was not dry or overly buttered but came with cinnamon butter. You will not get a container of condiments which was giving London vibes with all the small cups of condiments. I ended up taking half my meal home because it was filling and good!

WOW! Novellus is the real deal! On their website, they refer to themselves as a "Novel Dining Experience." They are very unique. While there is a bar in full view in the dining room, this is NOT your typical bar on Main. In fact, the bar only appears to be used for wine and cocktails with meals. I did not see anyone sitting at the bar. I came with a group of friends. We were seated in a private room on the side. Everything was absolutely beautiful. There was a large TV in the room with a crackling fireplace playing. How nice. One of my friends even commented he could almost feel the warmth of the fire. Though we dine out weekly, I don't recall the last time we were seated comfortably. Our table at Novellus was in the center of the room so we could all easily move around. In addition, we were not sitting on top of each other. We had room for our plates and to spread out a bit. Our server was Hannah. Though there were 9 of us, Hannah managed to effortlessly (at least it appeared to be effortlessly) attend to us all. She kept our drinks refilled, promptly got out our meals, and correctly got our bills (not a small feat as most of us were on separate checks.) I ordered the Roasted Chicken Italian Style. I almost didn't get it because restaurant chicken is usually so dry, but this was AMAZING! No other word describes it. It had a light lemon sauce with capers and was incredibly juicy. My sides were deep-fried brussels sprouts and assorted vegetables. The brussels had cranberries! Such an awesome surprise. I always check with my friends for their opinions. Everyone enjoyed their meals. No one had a bad dish. Several commented that they would definitely be returning and another requested I plan another trip here soon. Will definitely return!

Novellus on St. Charles Main Street brings a playful touch to classic cocktail culture, and it's a place I'll be recommending. The bartender told me I needed to read. It turns out, he wasn't joking. Check out how my drink was served! The drink arrived nestled in a hollowed-out stack of books, with smoky tendrils spiraling up as I lifted the cover. The presentation was top notch. The smokiness always adds a rich layer to an Old Fashioned. Beyond the Old Fashioned itself, the staff's sense of humor and the atmosphere make Novellus a great spot. It's the kind of place where details matter.

Bar stop #3 ..I opted to sit in the book area . I ordered a rise and shine punch. Bartender friendly and nice. Open floor plan and spacious. Book vibes . Grab a book and read or relax and people watch . Prices reasonable.

Visiting our bestie for her birthday, and we went to Novellus for a Saturday mimosa brunch. The service was great as our server was really sweet and attentive. We definitely kept her busy with the bottomless mimosas, as they have so many flavors to choose from. Along with the standard OJ and champagne, they also have peach, cranberry, grapefruit, and a few more. We also loved the food as well. The breakfast pizza was a great starter, and the Cajun pasta was very spicy and delicious! The Nashville chicken tenders were tasty, and the mini waffles that it came with were delicious as well. The ambiance was casual but stylish. We met the owner and although he told us how much he seemingly dislikes Yelp, and Californians (which 3 of us are) as he jokingly remarked, it was still a 5 star experience for us. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a brunch spot
